AN ALL-NEW INDEPENDENT SENIOR LIVING COMMUNITY COMING TO LONDONDERRY, NH

Designed for the way you want to live.

Welcome to the senior living of the future.

The Baldwin is transforming the way we view senior living. But what does that mean and how will the design affect the way you live? What was the architectural team thinking about as they designed The Baldwin?

It started with a vision for a new kind of independent senior living community that would be engaging and welcoming. Rather than being separated from the greater community, The Baldwin will be an integral part of Londonderry’s Woodmont Commons live/work/play development. With a main street “urban corridor” featuring retail spaces and dining venues that are open to the public, The Baldwin will invite intergenerational engagement. It’s also designed for maximum flexibility and choice in how you live as your needs change.

We invite you to view the videos below and hear from the minds behind the design about how The Baldwin is becoming the new standard for the future of senior living.

Hear from the minds behind the design.

In this virtual tour narrated by Philippe Saad, associate principal at DiMella Shaffer and lead architect for The Baldwin, you’ll learn about the thinking that went into designing The Baldwin and how this one-of-a-kind community is being created to bring you an unparalleled senior living experience.

Designed for whatever the future brings.

While we hope Covid-19 will be a distant memory when our community opens, The Baldwin has been designed with independence, safety and infection control in mind. Watch this video and hear from Philippe Saad, lead architect for The Baldwin, about how architecture can play a role in future infection control at The Baldwin.

What is biophilic design?

It is a well-established fact that humans benefit physically and psychologically from being connected to nature. Biophilic design is an architectural term that means incorporating nature and natural elements into the design of a building. At The Baldwin, you’ll find elements of biophilic design both inside and out including a living wall, an abundance of windows, easy access to the outdoors, walking trails, a reflecting pool, resident gardens, a sensory garden and more.

Award-Winning Design

Even before it’s been built, The Baldwin has been recognized by professional architecture and building organizations for its innovative, forward-thinking concept and design. Awards include the Multi-Housing News Gold Award for Excellence, Special Recognition from The American Institute of Architects’ (AIA) Design for Aging Review, and the NAHB Best of 55+ Housing Gold Award.
