Join on Zoom® for this Edgewood Lifelong Learning event as Katherine L. Tucker, Ph.D., shares valuable knowledge about how specific foods, nutrients and dietary patterns influence the aging process. She’ll discuss how food can help you maintain lean muscle and bone, support brain health, reduce risk of cardiometabolic diseases and optimize your immune response. The role of the gut microbiome its importance for healthy aging, as well as foods you can use to optimize it, will also be discussed. RSVP is required. Katherine L. Tucker, Ph.D. is Professor of Nutritional Epidemiology in the Department of Biomedical and Nutritional Sciences, and Director of the Center for Population Health, at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, with an adjunct appointment at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Her research focuses on dietary intake and risk of chronic disease.
